Working with the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) Foundation, TiE Sydney and Astha Vikas Samiti in Raisingh Nagar, India Foundation brought XO laptops to three village schools in Rajasthan. The goal: close the gap between children who have access to information and technology and those who don’t.

  • Kikarwali, March 24, 2010: the first OLPC project in Rajasthan.
  • Village 9 T.K., August 16, 2010: the second.
  • Ramaji Wala, October 14, 2011: the third, near Raisingh Nagar.

The XO laptop was made by the OLPC Foundation for primary school children aged five to twelve. It is sturdy, dustproof and waterproof, and its screen works in bright sunlight.

Helping children learn with the tools of our times is one of the most important investments we can make in a better tomorrow.
