Village 9 T.K. became the second One Laptop Per Child project in Rajasthan.
On August 16, 2010, India Foundation joined the One Laptop Per Child Foundation, TiE Sydney and Astha Vikas Samiti of Raisingh Nagar to bring XO laptops to Village 9 T.K. It was the second OLPC project in Rajasthan, after Kikarwali in March 2010.
More than a laptop, the XO is meant to be a whole world for children to explore: a tool for inclusive education for primary school children aged five to twelve. It is sturdy and dustproof, its screen works in sunlight, and it comes with apps for building basic skills.
Helping our children learn with the tools of our times is one of the most important investments we can make in a better tomorrow.
